Founder and current leadership
The High Satanic Church was founded and is presently led by J.B., the Founder and High Priest. J.B. is the public religious name used in Church communications. The Church does not publish a civil identity where doing so would create a personal safety or privacy risk.
Day-to-day work is carried by the administration. Tempel and High Tempel members may be entrusted with religious guidance, moderation, rank review, teaching, and the care of particular parts of the community. Delegated authority remains accountable to the Church and may be limited or withdrawn.
Public religious names
A leader or member may use a religious name, chosen name, initials, or another stable public identity for Church work. That name should be used consistently enough that members know who is speaking and what office the person holds.
A public religious name is not permission to impersonate another person or to hide misconduct. The administration may privately verify identity when needed for safety, account security, or a serious internal investigation, but private identifying information is not published without consent unless the law requires it.
Succession
The Founder may designate a successor in a written Church record shared with the senior administration. The designation may name a permanent successor or an interim leader and may set conditions for when the change takes effect.
If the Founder resigns, dies, becomes unable to serve, or is absent for a sustained period without a usable designation, a succession council is formed from the active High Tempel members and senior administrators. Tempel or Master members who already hold a clear leadership duty may be invited where their knowledge is needed.
- The council first appoints an interim leader so ordinary administration continues.
- A permanent leader is confirmed by a two-thirds decision of the eligible council.
- Conflicted members must not vote on a decision from which they personally benefit.
- The result is recorded and announced to the congregation through the members area.
The title Founder remains attached to the person who founded the Church. A successor may serve as High Priest, presiding leader, or under another title approved by the Church, but does not inherit the historical title Founder.
Temporary suspension
When there is an immediate risk to members, accounts, records, finances, or the safety of the Church, two eligible senior leaders may temporarily suspend a person’s operational access while the matter is reviewed. A temporary suspension is a protective measure, not a final finding.
Removal from leadership
Leadership authority may be removed for reasons including:
- serious abuse, coercion, harassment, threats, or retaliation;
- financial dishonesty or misuse of Church resources;
- a major breach of privacy, account security, or member safety;
- persistent misuse of rank or religious office;
- sustained incapacity or abandonment of duty that prevents the Church from functioning;
- conduct that deliberately places the congregation or its continuity at serious risk.
Concerns should be recorded in writing and sent to the administration or an eligible senior leader. The person concerned must be told the substance of the complaint and given a reasonable opportunity to respond. Anyone with a direct conflict of interest must step aside from the decision.
Final removal requires a two-thirds decision of the eligible senior leadership. The decision and its practical effect are recorded. Where privacy or safety requires discretion, the public notice may state only that a leadership change has taken place.
The historical fact that someone founded the Church is not erased, but the authority, access, and decision-making power attached to leadership can be suspended or removed.
Review of this policy
This policy may be revised as the Church grows or adopts a formal legal structure. Material changes should be recorded and announced to the congregation.
